Thanks to all of you who responded to my request for language help!  I've got a big collection of 2017 Choose The Right posters/binder covers and bookmarks for you!  I hope you'll like them.  Check the list below and click on the language of your choice.  If by chance I missed the one you want, there is also a blank set that you can add text to yourself.  My apologies to Janette Chiu.  I could not figure out how to make the mandarin Chinese characters!  I'm going to have to do a bit of studying about how to do that in the future. :)  Enjoy!

I Love the great diversity in the church.  It is so exciting to me when my artwork can bless people in places I may never have an opportunity to even visit.  My favorite comment ever received here on this blog was a little message from Guatamala telling me that the Sister Missionaries there were using my art to set up a new primary full of kids who had never had the experience before. (!)  I feel so blessed to have a very small part in that.  

The problem with trying to create something for a world wide church is that it's difficult to account for every beautiful difference and situation in my art.  Let's face it, I have lived my entire life in Utah.  There is not a whole lot of diversity here.  I even served my mission in New York.  So I don't know any other languages either.  I sincerely want my artwork to work for all of our heavenly father's children, but I'm limited in my ability to do that. That's why I've made a few different versions of this poster.  One that is ready to print if you want it that way, One that you can write your own language on, and one that you can color if you'd like.   Hopefully one of these versions will be useful to you in whatever way you need it.

This poster was created as 11x14 which is a standard print size at Costco, Sam's Club, etc. (I think it costs around $3)  But you can always adjust the size bigger or smaller.

I also added this new kit to my Etsy shop.  It's all about reading. I wanted to do some more things for school teachers.  My intention was to make 'brag tags' but I decided that clip art would be more versatile for use.  If any of you are teachers, do you have any opinion on that?  Check in out HERE.

Primary 2015!

ASL for "When I Am Baptized"

My daughter went to the deaf school for several years, so we invited her favorite teacher to visit our primary and teach us the sign language for "When I am baptized" (You can get away with that kind of thing here in Utah) 

I made some illustrations to help our kids remember the signs and how they match up to the words in the song.  Like many other languages, ASL is phrased differently than english.  For that reason, many of the signs don't match up directly with the lyrics even though they are still communicating the same idea. So, I have put the lyrics above each picture as they line up while singing.  Beneath each picture in a light grey is the actual word for that particular sign.  I hope that makes sense.

I'm not sure how likely it is that there are a lot of other primaries out there wanting to do sign language to this particular song.  But just in case - I decided to put my drawings here on the blog.  I did the work, I might as well share it right?

I've heard that you can go to Office Max or Staples and get huge "engineer prints" for cheap.  I may try to do that so these can be poster size.

ASL Young Women's Theme

This is the newest addition to my Etsy shop.  It is a poster and flash cards of the ASL signs for the Young Women's Theme.  My daughter has cerebral palsy and some hearing loss.  This is her first year in Young Women's.  She was having a hard time speaking fast enough to say the Young Women's theme each week in church. We decided it might be easier for her to learn it in sign language, so she and I watched a you tube video and made these pictures to help us remember the signs we learned.  Now, we are teaching all the young women!  It's been an awful lot of fun.

Camille's Primary Ideas

Camille, from Camille'sPrimaryIdeas.com shared one of her ideas with me.  She is putting together a fun game of Pin-Moroni-on-the-Temple for her singing time.  You can check out her post here.  I have put together a little kit for the game in my Etsy shop.

It includes a 16x20 poster of the Salt Lake temple, moroni pins numbered 1-12, and a blank moroni (with no number) The Set is $5, but if you use the coupon code CAMILLE you can get 20% off.

For those of you who don't want to spend money, but still want to make a game for yourself, you can use my older illustration of the Salt Lake temple that is available for free here on my blog.This image is much smaller that 16x20, but if you want it that big I have heard from others that it prints that large quite nicely.

and here is an angel moroni that you can print.  You can either print it on yellow paper, or if you are so inclined, you can print it on white paper and color it yourself. :)

2015 mutual theme

I had a little fun with my illustration for next year's mutual theme.  I hearkened back to my days as a scrapbook paper designer and played with a few filters in photoshop.  I like the way it turned out.  The 'letter' in her hand is supposed to be a mission call of sorts.  Perhaps a mission call she received in the pre-existance or any call to serve.  I imagine her suitcase to be full of all the tools she will need for her mission - the young women values, scriptures, etc.
