Primary 2016 Poster

It's slow in coming, but I finally managed to get a binder cover / poster for this year's primary theme put together.  Hopefully, I'm not too late for it to be enjoyed by someone out there!

He Sent His Son...FREEBIES!

New Born Babe (Baby Jesus)

Pathway

Whisper or Tell
(my daughter says this looks like she is signing the word "mother" in ASL.  But it's really supposed to be whispering or telling.  Her hand is up as if she's telling a secret.)

Some people like to make flip charts that show each word in the song.  Others like to have a scene that shows the idea of the text.  These illustrations are more for each word.  They will most likely be part of the new chorister kit I'm working on for my Etsy shop.  But I never know how long these projects will take me to do.  So I thought I ought to at least post these since this is the song you all are teaching this month.  -I'm late for that too, since it's already the middle of the month.  But better late than never right?

Primary 2015!

I've finally finished illustrating volume 2 of Santa Claus, All Year Long.  So, I've been relaxing with some fun illustrations for next year's primary theme.  I hope you'll like them.  Keep watch for more to come.

Do As I'm Doing Dice

Another version of the popular "Do As I'm Doing" action cards.  Print these out and fold them into dice.  Let the kids roll one to choose an action for Do As I'm Doing.  Or, if you want them sturdier, you could always mod podge them to a wooden block.  These are two separate files, so be sure to download both dice!

Primary Assignment Cards, version 2

Our Primary has decided to include the articles of faith in our opening exercises, so I made new assignment cards.  You can download the entire sheet, or just the separate clip art if you'd like to design your own.

Encourage reverence in primary with these cute reward badges! Just cut them out and pin them on, or punch a hole in the top and make a yarn necklace.

2013 primary song memory game cards

I've had so many requests for memory game cards for this year's primary songs, I finally got off my Franny and made some!  Some of this year's songs are already in last year's set of cards, so I didn't re-do those.  You'll have to download that packet here.  And unlike last year, I didn't do two of the same card on each page. There is only one copy of each card in the actual download.  I thought it would make it easier and faster to download that way, and hopefully it isn't too hard for you to just print it out twice.  I hope you'll enjoy these!

*There have been some issues with these coming out smaller than the 2012 cards.  If this happens to you, first try to download the files to your computer rather than just printing from the google doc that opens up.  If that doesn't work, email me.  If I send the file directly from my computer it seems to work right.  Thanks, and good luck!

primary assignment cards

Pre-assembled, all ready to print out and fill in the blanks.  These little cards will let the primary kids and their parents know about their assignments in primary.

If you'd prefer to make your own, here are the illustrations all by themselves to download separately.

A child of God....bookmarks

This is a set of bookmarks I made for our primary with the 2013 primary theme on it "I am a child of God"  It also says "My Heavenly Father knows me and loves me" because that was part of the sharing time I did yesterday.

It's Great To Be Eight!

"It's Great To Be Eight!"  I got a new calling as the 2nd counselor in our primary.  I'm going to be in charge of the "great to be eight" program.  So - here's a little something I came up with. If you'd like a copy of this file, click here to download it.

"It's Great To Be Eight!" when you're a boy too.

Eight, nine, ten and eleven year old girls.  I did this illustration for a primary president who is making a booklet about all the great church programs for this age group of girls.

Singing Time Missionary Game

This is one of the most fun projects I've done!  It's a game I made for our primary singing time.  The kids have to get this Elder ready to go on his mission by finding his 'stuff' around the room and packing it in his suitcase for him.  Each item has a song on the back.  Some songs fit with the items better than others.  "Choose the Right" is on the back of the CTR ring which works pretty well, but I put "Popcorn Popping" on the back of his toothpaste and toothbrush because all I could think of was popcorn kernels getting stuck in my teeth!  Anyway, I have made a digital pattern to build our little Elder out of.  Each of his individual parts can be printed out on a regular 8.5 x 11 paper.  I think putting him together is pretty self explanatory.  This isn't rocket science after all.  I also have about 5 pages of 'stuff' you can print out.  I suggest you either have a lot of ink in your printer, or take it to a copy shop and let them use their ink for about .79 cents a page.  You can put what ever songs you want on the back of yours, but here is what I did.

Mission call - I hope they call me on a mission
Family Photo - Love is spoken here
Temple Recommend - I love to see the temple
Care package (cookies) - I feel my savior's love
Testimony -The Wise Man & the Foolish Man
Umbrella - When I am Baptized (I like to look for rainbows)
Patriarchal Blessing - As a child of God
Name Tag - I am a child of God
Passport - Nephi's Courage (I will go, I will do)
Ski hat - Once there was a snowman
Camera - Jesus wants me for a sunbeam
Journal - Do as I'm doing
Sewing kit - song of your choice
socks - I'm trying to be like Jesus
gym shoes - Head Shoulders Knees & Toes
Toothpaste & brush - Popcorn Popping
Money - song of your choice
Book of Mormon - Book of Mormon stories
Bible - Follow the prophet

"Do As I'm Doing" action cards

Our primary has been fixated on spinning every time they sing "Do As I'm Doing"  Our poor chorister is so dizzy, I think she's ready to pull her hair out.  So, I took it upon myself to make these little cards with other options on them.  I think I may laminate them and attach a craft stick to the back so the kids can pick one and hold it up while singing if they want.....then again, they probably can't hold them up if they are doing the actions can they?

Primary Song Memory Game Cards

Primary Song Memory Game Cards
I made this set of game cards to practice the 2012 program songs, plus a few fun songs thrown in. The actual cards are 5x5 and there are two of each design on a page.  Just print them out, cut them out, and play memory with them.  Each time a match is made, you sing that song.  Easy peezy lemon squeezy.
