Word of Wisdom Cards

WORD OF WISDOM CARDS

It's my turn to do sharing time tomorrow.  The lesson is on the word  of wisdom.  The kids are supposed to pull pictures out of a bag and tell whether they are good for your body or bad.  This same lesson was given in primary last year.
When a picture of a brown bottle of beer was pulled out of the bag, my 6 year old daughter yelled out "My Daddy drinks that!"  The primary president was shocked and said "Are you sure?"  and she said "Yes! He drinks it all the time!"  Let me make it clear that my husband does not drink beer.  He drinks Coca Cola, which is a brown liquid in a bottle.  I was the primary pianist at the time, and we all got a good laugh out of her comment.

Primary Boy & Girl

Primary kids: boy & girl

more baptism kids

I've been working on some new baptism preparation materials for our ward. This cute set of baptismal kids is part of it.

Children of God

One of the things I love most about the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is that it is an international church.  Our Heavenly Father loves all his children, and missionaries all around the world are sharing that love through the message of the restored gospel.  What a sweet blessing from a loving Father.

A child of God....bookmarks

This is a set of bookmarks I made for our primary with the 2013 primary theme on it "I am a child of God"  It also says "My Heavenly Father knows me and loves me" because that was part of the sharing time I did yesterday.

It's Great To Be Eight!

"It's Great To Be Eight!"  I got a new calling as the 2nd counselor in our primary.  I'm going to be in charge of the "great to be eight" program.  So - here's a little something I came up with. If you'd like a copy of this file, click here to download it.

"It's Great To Be Eight!" when you're a boy too.

eight, nine, ten, eleven

Eight, nine, ten and eleven year old girls.  I did this illustration for a primary president who is making a booklet about all the great church programs for this age group of girls.

Observe, Then Serve.

Observe then Serve.

This is definitely not one of my better illustrations.  My two year old painted the living room with purple nail polish, and this illustration happened to be one of her many victims.  It has been photo-shopped a lot.  But hopefully is still useful for those of you who may want it.  As always, it is

FREE for the asking.

"Do As I'm Doing" action cards

Our primary has been fixated on spinning every time they sing "Do As I'm Doing"  Our poor chorister is so dizzy, I think she's ready to pull her hair out.  So, I took it upon myself to make these little cards with other options on them.  I think I may laminate them and attach a craft stick to the back so the kids can pick one and hold it up while singing if they want.....then again, they probably can't hold them up if they are doing the actions can they?

Primary Song Memory Game Cards

Primary Song Memory Game Cards
I made this set of game cards to practice the 2012 program songs, plus a few fun songs thrown in. The actual cards are 5x5 and there are two of each design on a page.  Just print them out, cut them out, and play memory with them.  Each time a match is made, you sing that song.  Easy peezy lemon squeezy.

This is an old illustration that I did probably ten years ago.  I pulled it out today to use for the visiting teaching message this month, which is on service.  I'm happy to share if you'd like a copy. Just email me and I'll send you the digital file.

Choice & Accountability

I finished another value character.  Choice & Accountability.  Once I get all the individual characters done, I'll put them together into one big illustration.  Again, this illustration is free for the asking.  Just email me, and I'll send you a high resolution file.

Reverence Bookmark

Reverence Bookmark.

I've found with my kids, that sometimes it's helpful to spell out exactly how to be reverent.  This bookmark is a checklist of sorts for kids to look at to remember what they should be doing.
